'Ben is probably the only external consultant we've ever hired that I've approved of. He actually got us playing as promised, encouraged us to interact with each other and have a laugh, and it's great to be taught by someone with such obvious enthusiasm and talent.'

Peter Sargent, Director of International Trade Finance, Lloyds TSB

“Ben’s session was a great success, he was able not only to enthuse his audience to complete a task that they had previously never thought they could accomplish but also to give them a thoroughly good time in the process!”

'Blues Jam Factory! Physiotherapists, occupational therapists, assistants and clerical staff found they had amazing talent when they performed the 12 bar blues on the harmonica!  This was part of a team building workshop aimed at overcoming occupational, grade and speciality boundaries.  After listening to Ben Hewlett give a professional performance on the diatonic harmonica, the staff tested their skills on a blade of grass!  This prepared them to play the riff from ‘Hoochie Coochie Man’ by Muddy Waters.  Pretty soon they were able to create their own riffs, making up songs about the different teams.  With lots of hilarity, they then learned to speak in pairs using ‘harmonicode’, before joining a larger group and imitating a train journey!  Finally, it was time for the big blues number where everyone performed, danced and played solos wearing dark glasses!'

“I personally thought the Blues Jam Factory was one of the best events I've been to yet - fantastic atmosphere. Ben was great; book him again. Soon! He was superb teacher, loved his laid back attitude and sense of fun. It was great value for money. Great way to break the ice with fellow attendees; in all, ten out of ten; I would really recommend it”.

‘BLUES JAM FACTORY brought everyone together so well – brilliant networking. The session went down really well with everyone. It was great, completely unexpected, and all enjoyed it – everyone had so much fun! Every time they see those harmonicas again they will remember this conference, that adds impact to our message.'

Hi Ben,The away day was good fun and I think the hour of Harmonica at the end of the day was a great way to wind down. Everyone seemed to have fun and it was something none of them had done before, which is always a bonus. We enjoyed watching the DVD. My children Christopher and Rhys, who both play harmonica, had a good giggle at all us adults trying to master what they are obviously experts at!! Thanks for making it fun.

"Ben, I can confirm that you were a resounding success!  We would all have liked to carry on if the staff lunch hadn't dragged us away - especially as we were just getting going on playing tunes."

"I'd like to thank Ben for starting me out on fabulous, if surreal, musical journey that day.  From the moment I got my first note from a blade of grass I had a good feeling about the whole thing.  Much later, following the staff Christmas party, I found myself giving a rendition of "Danny Boy" on a harmonica to a hushed and emotional audience on the pub steps! Completely unexpected but great fun :-) "
